Tutoring Learning Coordinator

ACE Community Colleges are excited to announce that we are launching a brand new business venture in the world of “Shadow Education” and will be looking for a tutoring specialist to join our team.

This new position, based in Murwillumbah, will oversee and coordinate the tutoring programs, ensuring students receive high-quality academic support. This role involves managing the tutoring staff, scheduling sessions, and ensuring the effectiveness of educational programs in conjunction with our Learning Manager.

This new business is aiming to be an all inclusive “shadow education” experience, to ensure that all students, whether homeschooled or through main stream education have access to learning.

The Learning Coordinator will work closely with tutors, students, families, and other stakeholders to enhance learning outcomes, foster academic growth, and support the business’s overall development.

Given that this is a brand new position to our business, we are looking for candidates who are excited to get ‘hands on’ in the final stages of development, ready to launch our new business for Term 2, 2025.

For this role it would be highly desired if tutors had experience in tutoring, coaching or mentoring, be able to quickly build relationships with people from varying backgrounds, have experience in the NSW Department of Education standards for years 7-12.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

  • Academic management of tutors
  • Scheduling and coordination of tutoring sessions
  • Student academic support in the form of delivery of tutoring sessions, primarily in math’s and English
  • Engage and support students through the learning process;
  • Provide flexible learning methods for students with varied abilities & motivation;
  • Be a collaborative & cooperative member of the team;
  • Provide guidance and support with resource development and implementation of a LMS platform for delivery of tutoring.

To be successful in this position you must hold a Working With Children Check (WWCC) as well as a Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Primary and/or Secondary Education.

Highly Desired Attributes:

  • Previous tutoring experience, preferably at a secondary level
  • Reside in the Northern Rivers
