ACE Community Colleges Supports an Indigenous Voice to Parliament.
At our core we believe in the life changing significance of choice, diversity and inclusion. ACE Community Colleges is committed to strong and supportive relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and the respectful celebration of cultures, views and values.
We acknowledge that this is a significant year for our nation, with Australians having an opportunity through a referendum process, to recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Constitution by establishing an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice.
ACE Community Colleges expresses its support to enshrine a First Nations Voice in the Australian Constitution.
Our teams are focused on engaging with our staff and community in the further development of our Reconciliation Plan. Over the coming months senior managers will be in discussion with employees across our Campus locations to increase awareness and education in the lead-up to the referendum and hope to support a respectful debate. We understand that there will be a diversity of views and take this moment to reaffirm our commitment to freedom of speech for all staff across our organisation.
The Board and Management Team encourage the entire ACE Community Colleges network to be informed.
