Dream Career Change

We’ve got a brilliant change of career story out of Murwillumbah campus that’s sure to inspire. Niphaporn started work in the kitchen of an aged care facility, but her big heart and caring nature called her toward a community care role.

“I enjoyed work in the kitchen but I wanted to be a carer. My friends told me about ACE Community Colleges, it is a great place and the best training. So I enrolled in the Certificate III in Individual Support.

The big challenge for me is that English is a second language, sometimes doing the activities or assignment I was nervous. But with all of the trainers and Murwillumbah team support, I finished the course! I hope my story can help people out there to make a difference in their journey.”

Niphaporn completed her certificate and work placement, and is now employed at the same facility she used to be – only this time, out of the kitchen, and assisting clients. A total dream come true after watching her colleagues out on the floor all those years.

Courage and perseverance go a long way, and we’re just thrilled to have helped Niphaporn reach her goals.
