Learn essential car maintenance skills in this handy short course. Ideal for non-mechanically minded people seeking confidence, support and independence around:

  • Car engines and associated systems
  • Performing routine safety and maintenance checks on motor vehicles
  • Talking the ‘mechanic’ lingo
  • Changing a tyre, a fuse, or jump-starting a vehicle.

You will receive both classroom and hands-on training in these empowering workshops, with step-by-step guidance and practical activities. Most suitable for people who drive petrol or diesel motored cars, but also contains relevant information for hybrid EV drivers.

This course runs for three sessions, over three consecutive weeks at our Lismore campus.

TRAINER

Nyree Smith has a wide range of engineering and training experience. “I have a passion for all things technical and creative, however above all I love being independent and understanding how the world works. Whether it be the world of business or humble car maintenance, I enjoy sharing my knowledge and empowering people to realise their true potential. I’ve been fortunate to have had the opportunities and resources to learn these skills. I’d like to inspire and help others to obtain these, to gain greater independence.”
