Course
Description
Time to take a moment of stillness, just for you. Mindfulness is a science-backed practice rooted in cultivating awareness of the present moment with openness and non-judgment. It has been shown to reduce stress, increase focus, and improve emotional well-being.
This course bridges the gap between theory and application, offering practical, accessible techniques to develop mindfulness in your daily life and cultivate clarity, calm and compassion. Explore foundational practices (meditation, breathing exercises, body scans) and progress to mindfulness in action (mindful eating, walking, listening). Each session will include interactive discussions, group activities and self-reflection.
Take home a guided meditation audio library and a PDF workbook of mindfulness exercises to sustain your practice beyond the classroom. This course runs for eight sessions, over eight consecutive weeks at our Lismore campus.
TRAINER
Jeremy West is an experienced and qualified mindfulness trainer, having completed a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons), certification in Results Coaching and completed various Mindfulness teaching courses over 15+ years.
“Mindfulness has profoundly transformed my life by helping me manage stress, anxiety, and depression. What excites and motivates me is the ability to stay present and enjoy the moment, no matter the circumstances. The most rewarding aspect is witnessing the positive impact mindfulness has on others—seeing people gain resilience, find peace, and improve their well-being.
The opportunity to spread the gift of mindfulness and help others navigate their life transitions with greater ease and awareness drives my passion for this field. Additionally, teaching mindfulness for me is the best way to continue to learn it and continue to remember the basics to apply more mindfulness to my own daily living.”
