This is the perfect course for anyone with a passion for Italian culture, food, or travel. Whether you’re planning a trip to Italy, exploring a new hobby, or simply love the sound of the language, you’ll thoroughly enjoy these workshops.

Join in for a dynamic and interactive way to learn Italian, designed for those who want to immerse themselves in the language and culture without the need for a textbook. Through conversational practice and engaging activities, you will develop essential communication skills.

Classes begin with the basics: greetings, common expressions, and foundational vocabulary. As you progress, you’ll learn to construct simple sentences, ask and answer questions, and engage in everyday conversations. Activities include role-playing real-life scenarios, pronunciation practice, and fun cultural insights to make the learning process enjoyable and practical.

This course runs for eight sessions, over eight consecutive weeks at our Lismore campus.

TRAINER

Luca Barbierie comes from Verona, a beautiful city in northern Italy celebrated for its rich history, art, and culinary traditions. Since 2017, Luca has been teaching Italian as a second language to adults in Australia.

Alongside teaching, Luca has trained other Italian, French, and Spanish teachers in Melbourne, equipping them to deliver professional and engaging classes with enthusiasm. Luca’s experience includes working with various language schools in Melbourne, including the renowned
Istituto Italiano di Cultura (IIC), operated by the Italian Ministry of Culture.

A lover of art, nature, and Italian cooking, Luca believes that learning a language is one of the best ways to keep the mind fresh and engaged.
