A Death Café is an opportunity for people, often strangers, to gather around morning tea and discuss death, dying and beyond. There is no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Anyone 18 years and over who wants a unique chance to chat, increase awareness of death + help make the most of your (finite) life.
FEE FREE
This course is completely fee-free, as part of our service to the community.
CAN FRIENDS OR FAMILY MEMBERS COME?
Anyone that would like to attend is welcome. There will be a total of 10 people per session.
TRAINER
This workshop is delivered by Amandine Schneider, a dedicated, holistic End of Life Doula or Deathwalker. She provides emotional and spiritual support, companionship, logical assistance and education in end of life transitions. Her desire is to be a guiding presence and an advocate by empowering all involved. Her empathic and compassionate nature provide a safe, peaceful environment to individuals and their family, caregivers or friends through all stages of the end of life process and beyond. Over the last year, she has been engaged in the wider community by hosting group discussions with the aim to demystify this natural and inevitable process of life and death.
